The recipe
Persian Spice Mix is a typical mix for dishes from the area around the Persian Gulf. It’s easy to make at home and should retain a good flavour for about 3 months if stored correctly. It is used in rice dishes or casseroles with pulses, meat and vegetables. Variations may include black pepper, cloves, nutmeg or saffron.
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp dried rose petals
- 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 2 tbsp ground green cardamom seeds
- 1 tbsp ground cumin
